The 10ft 2wt and 3wt Perdigon rods are exceptional Euro Nymphing tools, but they also excel in the refined art of Spanish dry fly fishing. This technique uses a light fly line — often underlined by one weight — combined with a long, supple leader and fine tippet to create a controlled 'fall-back' or 'crumpled' presentation. When executed correctly, the fly lands and drifts naturally downstream of the leader, allowing the fish to see the fly first while the leader remains concealed upstream. The softer tip action of these rods makes them perfectly suited to both Euro nymphing and Spanish dry fly leader systems, delivering delicate presentations while maintaining excellent sensitivity and control.

The 10ft 4wt Perdigon is designed for anglers targeting larger fish with heavy nymphs and small streamers. It truly excels in high water and turbulent currents, where larger flies with 3.5mm tungsten beads or heavier are needed, often paired with stronger tippet for maximum control. These demanding conditions frequently hold trophy fish, and the more powerful action of the 10ft 4wt provides the strength, stability, and confidence required to handle both heavy rigs and hard-fighting fish with ease.

The 10ft 8in 2wt and 11ft 3wt models are purpose-built for medium to large rivers where light-line Euro nymphing techniques excel.
